Kim Moherek Sopko, Ed.D. has worked in the early childhood field for twenty-five years and currently serves as the LEADS (Leadership in Effective and Developmentally-appropriate Services) Coordinator and Website manager for the Virginia Department of Education’s Training and Technical Assistance Center at George Mason University. She has provided direct services in EI and ECSE programs, served as a community-based inclusion specialist, taught graduate courses at three universities, and was a senior policy consultant for Project Forum at NASDSE. Kim serves as the co-leader of the Leadership Special Interest Group for the Division for Early Childhood (DEC) of the Council for Exceptional Children (CEC). Throughout her career, she has provided professional development workshops focused on early childhood special education at local, regional, and national levels.
Mrs. Sopko provides Leadership Technical Assistance to Delaware, Idaho, Mississippi, Virginia, and Washington State.
