Sandra Schefkind, OTD, OTR/L, FAOTA has held a variety of leadership positions in schools, clinics, hospitals and home care. For the past 13 years, she was the Pediatric Practice Manager at the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA). She previously served as the Director of Early Childhood in the Education Department at Imagination Stage, a Professional Children’s Theater in Bethesda, Maryland. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in occupational therapy from Tufts University, a Master of Science degree in occupational therapy from Temple University, and a post-professional clinical doctorate degree in occupational therapy from Thomas Jefferson University. She has studied and developed community of practice as a knowledge translation and capacity building strategy.
