The program ensures successful completion of clinical and student teaching experiences that:
(a) are well-planned and sequenced in a variety of settings (i.e., state-licensed child care, Head Start, or community programs);

(c) include experience in two different age groups (grades 3-6 and grades 5-8); and
(d) include a K-3 student teaching experience in a P-12 school setting.

Minimum of a master's degree from an accredited institution consisting of a minimum of 60 semester hours or 90 quarter hours. Those hours must include a minimum of 48 semester hours or 72 quarter hours of courses in:

(ii) biopsychosocial health and development across the life span;
(iii) clinical treatment with individuals, couples, and families;
(iv) ethics in marriage and family therapy;
(v) diverse, multicultural, and/or underserved communities; and
(vi) systemic/relational assessment and mental health diagnosis and treatment.

(a) 100 individual hours, using a 20:1 ratio of client contact hours to supervision hours of which at least 75 percent are in individual supervision;
(b) group supervision consisting of no more than six candidates; and (c) a minimum of 1000 post-degree hours of client contact accumulated within the last five years with a minimum of 50 percent of those hours providing services to couples and families. There must be a 20:1 ratio of client contact hours to supervision hours with: (i) at least 200 hours of face-to-face supervision of which at least 150 hours are in individual supervision, and of which a minimum of 80 hours is earned with each
supervisor; and (ii) at least 100 hours of supervision involving raw clinical data, i.e., live observation in the therapy room or through a one-way mirror or live-feed camera, videotape, or audiotape.

The curriculum must instruct in scientific and professional ethics and standards, research design and methodology, statistics, and psychometrics, and require students
demonstrate competence (a minimum of three or more graduate semester hours/five or more graduate quarter hours) in each of these substantive content areas:
(i) Biological bases of behavior: physiological psychology, comparative psychology, neuropsychology, sensation and perception, psychopharmacology;
(ii) Cognitive-affective bases of behavior: learning, thinking, motivation, emotion;
(iii) Social bases of behavior: social psychology, group processes, organizational and systems theory; and
(iv) Individual differences: personality theory, human development, abnormal psychology;
(i) includes adequate training in psycho diagnosis and several types of psychological assessment and intervention procedures and their theoretical bases; and
(j) includes at least 60 quarter hours/40 semester hours of formal psychology graduate study.
(i) No more than 15 quarter hours/ten semester hours of university extension credits may be credited toward the doctoral degree requirement.
(ii) Of the 60 quarter hours, a minimum of 45 quarter hours/30 semester hours must occur when the applicant is matriculated in the doctoral program and be clearly designated on the transcript as graduate level psychology course work, exclusive of practicum, dissertation, and transfer credits.

The pre-doctoral internship must be at least 1500 hours in length and be completed in no less than nine months and no longer than 24 months. Twenty-five percent of internship hours must be in face-to-face contact with patients or clients.
Internship experience must have at least 30 hours per week at the internship site, but no more than 45 hours per week.
Active engagement must be documented by a log of internship activities signed by the student's academic advisor. Such activities must: (i) include both faculty-to-student and student-to-student face-to-face interaction; (ii) be conducted by the psychology faculty of the institution at least 90 percent of the time
