Applicants shall provide, on forms prescribed by the board, a plan for completion of the supervised postgraduate professional experience. This form must be signed by a

supervisor holding current permanent Missouri licensure, in the area in which the applicant seeks licensure. The plan shall consist of at least thirty-six (36) weeks of fulltime professional experience. A minimum of thirty-five (35) hours of work per week constitutes full-time employment. If the applicant works twenty-nine to thirty-four (29–34) hours per week, the length of the experience must be at least forty-eight (48) weeks. If the applicant works twenty-two to twenty-eight (22–28) hours per week, the length of the experience must be at least sixty (60) weeks. If the applicant works fifteen to twenty-one (15–21) hours per week, the length of the experience must be at least seventy-two (72) weeks

A minimum of sixty (60) semester hours of professional preparation. Competency must be demonstrated to the satisfaction of the educator preparation

institution for each topic listed. 1. Content Planning and Delivery. Candidates are prepared with a deep knowledge of and understand the relationships among curriculum, instruction, and assessment 2. Individual Student Needs. Candidates build a robust knowledge of learners and the learning environment 3. Schools and the Teaching Profession. Candidates fully understand the role of schools and schooling as well as the professional responsibilities of teachers, including a means of professional growth 4. Teaching and Learning Strategies

Field and Clinical Experiences (minimum requirement of ten (10) semester hours). Field and clinical experiences should be appropriate to the progress of the student through the program and should be supervised through a close partnership of highly qualified professionals in appropriate school settings. Culminating Clinical Experiences (eight (8) semester hours with a minimum of twelve (12) weeks in one (1) placement). The culminating experience refers to placements typically in the final sequence leading up to and including student teaching. Candidates actively participate and complete required assignments, work with students as requested and under the supervision of the classroom teacher, and have the opportunity and responsibility to lead the class over an extended period of time.

4. Content Knowledge for Teaching and Teaching and Learning Strategies for the Young Child (minimum requirement of thirty (30) semester hours)

5. Home-School-Community Relations (minimum requirement of six (6) semester hours

6. Program Management (minimum requirement of six (6) semester hours).

(A) Three (3) semester hours or five (5) quarter hours of study in the area of theoretical foundations of marriage and family

therapy;

(B) Twelve (12) semester hours or twenty (20) quarter hours of study in the area of the practice of marriage and family therapy;

(C) Six (6) semester hours or ten (10) quarter hours of study in the area of human development and family studies;

(D) Three (3) semester hours or five (5) quarter hours of study in the area of ethics and professional studies;

(E) Three (3) semester hours or five (5) quarter hours of study in the area of research methodology;

(F) Six (6) semester hours or ten (10) quarter hours of practicum in marital and family therapy, including the minimum number of client contact hours as set forth by the Commission on Accreditation for Marriage and Family Therapy Education (COAMFTE) standards; and

(G) Three (3) semester hours or five (5) quarter hours of study in the area of diagnostic systems either within the curriculum leading to a master, doctoral, or specialist degree, or post master’s graduate level course work prior to the issuance of a license
