Licensure Dependent on an Exam? An applicant for a license shall be required to pass a written examination in such subjects as the Board may determine. Upon an applicant successfully passing such an examination, the Board may issue to the applicant a license to practice as a Registered Nurse. An applicant who fails such examination shall be subject to reexamination according to the rules of the Board. The passing criteria shall be established by the Board in its rules. If you do not have a Bachelor's degree, but have an associate's degree or diploma from a school of nursing (3 years), you may be issued a five-year provisional certificate. To renew the five-year provisional certificate, you must complete at least 24 semester hours toward Bachelor's degree requirements every 5 years. You will have 10 years from the initial issuance to complete a Bachelor's degree.

Licensure Dependent on an Exam? 1) National Examination The Examination for Professional Practice in Psychology (EPPP) is offered to applicants whose applications have been reviewed and approved by the Board. qualifying score of 70%; 2) Jurisprudence Examination The Jurisprudence Examination (State ethics exam) is offered four times a year to applicants whose applications have been reviewed and approved by the Board. 3) Oral Examination The Oral Examination is available in June and December of each year for those candidates that have passed both the National Examination and the Jurisprudence Examination. Both the National Examination and Jurisprudence Examination must be passed by April 15, to sit for the June Oral Exam or October 15, for the December Oral Exam.

Licensure Dependent on an Exam? 675:10-1-10. Examinations (a) The Board accepts the following licensure examinations administered by the ASWB: (1) Basic or Bachelors (2) Intermediate or Master (3) Advanced or Advanced Generalist (4) Clinical (b) Upon approval by the Board to take the examination and issuance of a provisional license, the applicant may apply through the ASWB to sit for the examination. (c) From the date of issuance of the provisional license, the applicant has one year to obtain a passing score on the ASWB exam. In the event of failure to pass the examination, the applicant may retake the examination every ninety (90) days during the year the provisional license is valid. If an applicant's provisional license is revoked pursuant to Section 1261.5 of the Social Workers Licensing Act, the license application shall be voided, and the applicant must reapply, including approval of the Board, application and applicable fees, prior to retaking the examination.
