Licensure Dependent on an Exam? Pass a written exam approved by the board.
Licensure Specific Coursework Applicants must possess at least a master's degree or its equivalent in the area of audiology from an educational institution recognized by the board. Twenty-seven (27) semester hours in basic science coursework must be completed and include: At least six (6) semester hours in biological and/or physical sciences and mathematics; at least six (6) semester hours in the behavioral and/or social sciences; and at least fifteen (15) semester hours in basic human communication processes and must include coursework in: (1) Anatomic and physiologic bases; (2) Physical and psychophysical bases; and (3) Linguistic and psycholinguistic aspects. Audiologist applications must document at least 36 semester hours in professional coursework which must include: at least 30 semester hours of graduate coursework: 21 of which shall be in the area of audiology; at lesat 30 semester hours in audiology; at least six (6) of which shall be in hearing disorders and hearing evaluation, and at least six (6) in habilitative and/or rehabilitative procedures, with individuals who have hearing impairment; at least six (6) semester hours in speech pathology; at least three (3) of which shall be in speech disorders and at least three (3) in language disorders, and a maximum of six (6) academic semester hours associated with clinical practicum (may be counted toward the minimum of 36 semester hours of professional coursework).
Licensure Require Specific Field or Clinical Work? A maximum of six (6) academic semester hours associated with clinical practicum. These hours may not be used to satisfy the minimum of six (6) semester hours in hearing disorders and evaluation, six (6) semester hours in habilitative and/or rehabilitative procedures or the six (6) semester hours in speech pathology. In addition, applicants must complete and have supvisor verification of at least thirty-six (36) weeks of full-time professional experience (or its part-time equivalent) consisting of primarily clinical activities.

If an out of state or online program is used, the board advises to obtain verification in writing from the program that it leads to a professional teaching license in the home state.

Licensure Specific Curriculum/Coursework Minimum of nine (9) graduate semester hours or Twelve (12) graduate quarter hours in each of the areas: (1) Marriage and family studies, (2) Marriage and family therapy, and (3) Human Development. In addition, a minimum of three (3) graduate semester hours or four (4) graduate quarter hours must inclued the areas of (1) Ethical and professional studies; and (2) Research.
Licensure Require Specific Field or Clinical Work? A practicum verification form must be submited to confirm completion of one year practicum within the master's or doctoral degree program, with at least 300 supervised client contact hours. A "Post-Master's Experience Verification Form" needs to be completed by the supervisor to verify completion of 1,000 hours of direct marriage and family therapy experience AND 200 hours of clinical supervision in not less than 24 months.

Licensure Dependent on an Exam? After the Board has determined that an applicant is eligible to sit for the exam, the Federation of State Boards of Physical Therapy (FSBPT) will be notified and send an Authorization to Test Letter. There is a lifetime limit of taking the exam a maximum of six (6) times.

Licensure Specific Curriculum/Coursework Applicants must have a minimum of six (6) or more graduate semester hours (or 9 graduate quarter hours) in: (1) Biological bases of behavior; physiological psychology, comparative psychology, neuropsychology, senesation and perception, pscyhopharmacology; (2) Cognitive-affective bases of behavior; learning, thinking, motivation, emotion; (3) Social bases of behavior; social psychology, group processes, organizational and systems theory, community psychology; (4) Individual differences; personality theory, human development, abnormal psychology; (5) Psychodiagnosis and individual assessment; intellectual, personality and behavioral assessment; and (6) Therapy; child or adult intervention or both. Applicants must also have a minimum of 3 or more graduate semester hours (or 4.5 graduate quarter hours) in each area of: (1) Scientific and professional ethics and standards; (2) History and systems; (3) Research design and methology; and (4) Statistics and psychometics.
Licensure Require Specific Field or Clinical Work? Applicants must have completed 1,900 hours of internship experience approved by the APA or one year (1,900 hours) of supervised experience in health service in psychology in an internship or residency program in an organized health service training program. The internship must be part of the doctoral program and must be under the supervision of: (1) A licensed psychologist, or (2) A psychologist who holds an ABPP diplomate certificate, or (3) A person who holds a doctoral degree in psychology from an accredited institution who has had two years of postdoctoral experience in the work supervised.
Licensure Dependent on an Exam? Applicants must pass the EPPP examination with a score that was equal to or higher than the board's passing score at the time the applicant took the EPPP.
